A MAJOR safety breach at a WestCONnex home demolition site on Campbell St, St Peters last night saw a large sheet of iron roofing and other debris blown onto a busy road and footpath, damaging residents’ property and placing lives at risk.

MEMBERS of the WestCONnex Action Group (WAG) have invited the new Premier of NSW, Gladys Berejiklian, to meet with them to discuss their call for a halt work on WestConnex and an immediate review into the project.

WESTCONNEX contractors were forced to abandon construction works in Sydney Park twice this morning after failing to produce any authorisation for the work when asked by residents.

RESIDENTS will gather at the Save Sydney Park camp on Tuesday morning to protest the destruction of the park’s trees and surrounding areas for the WestCONnex tollway.
