WESTCONNEX M4 East contractors carrying out construction works for the toll road ahead of planning approval called police today after residents occupied their planned drilling sites on Ramsay Road and Reg Coady Reserve in Haberfield.

RESIDENTS of an apartment complex in Knocklayde St Ashfield forced WestCONnex to abandon drilling on their property yesterday after it failed to prove it had the legal right to carry out the work.

WESTCONNEX contractors carrying out geotechnical drilling in Haberfield called police this morning after residents entered the site to ask why work on the M4 East is commencing before any planning approval is granted.
