RESIDENTS from across the WestCONnex route will come together on Sunday 6 December for UPROOTED, a family picnic and tree-wrapping event to highlight the community destruction the $16.8 billion toll road would cause.

ALMOST 900 submissions to stop WestCONnex destroying endangered species such as the Green and Golden Bell Frog were sent to federal Environment Minister Greg Hunt in 48 hours after WestCONnex Action Group (WAG) launched an online campaign last week.

THE endangered Green and Golden Bell Frog is under threat as secret plans to build the WestCONnex toll road through one of its last remaining habitats were quietly lodged to avoid public scrutiny.

HUNDREDS of people in south-west Sydney attended last Thursday’s WestCONnex ‘community information sessions’ in Kingsgrove to oppose the $15.4 billion toll road.

RESIDENTS facing the destruction of their communities for WestCONnex’s New M5 tunnel are bracing themselves for more appalling treatment at the hands of the WestCONnex Delivery Authority (WDA) at its ‘community information sessions’ in Kingsgrove this Thursday.
