WestCONnex Action Group volunteer meeting

Lots of people have been asking us how they can get involved in the campaign to stop WestCONnex, so we're holding two meetings for new volunteers this week. Email us if you can come along.

Stage 2 of WestCONnex, the New M5, has been approved. And WestCONnex is moving onto the M4-M5 link – unapproved.

This means the campaign has to move onto protesting in earnest to halt the project.

Haberfield protest
In the last month alone, we've had some notable community actions to highlight the demolition of heritage houses in Haberfield, which received extensive media coverage.

The next 7 weeks of the federal election campaign are critical. By 2 July we need to make clear to ALL politicians what the electoral cost of continuing with WestCONnex will be - which is why we'd like to meet you to talk about what needs to be done over the election period, and how you can join in.

We've got a choice of two meeting times:

  • Wednesday 18 May at 7pm, Tom Foster Community Centre, 11-13 Darley St, Newtown
  • Saturday 21 May at 2pm, brick pits at Sydney Park (opposite St Peters train station)

If you can join us, please email us to let us know which meeting you'll be attending. If you can confirm your name, contact number and suburb, that'd be great too. You can also call us on 0402 261 364.

Looking forward to hearing from you. Together we can stop WestCONnex!
