Having halted destruction in one part of Sydney Park, the Save Sydney Park protest camp has recently moved to a new location on the corner of Euston Rd and Campbell St to put more pressure on the disastrous WestCONnex project.
And following the success of our screening of The Castle, we've teamed up again with Sunny Bins to host another family-friendly movie night at the camp.
The evening will start with live music and food. Then, as darkness descends, we'll screen some short WestCONnex protest films, followed by the animated hit film of Dr Seuss's cautionary tale, The Lorax.
As fans of The Lorax will know, it's very relevant given the environmental destruction Mike Baird has planned for WestCONnex - not just in Sydney Park, which could lose hundreds of trees, but across Sydney.
The whole event will be run by Sunny Bins' new crowdfunded solar generator, making it completely off-grid. Come along and show your support for the camp, meet your neighbours, and enjoy a wonderful night under the stars in beautiful Sydney Park.
(If the stars aren't out and it's raining instead, the event will be postponed.)
